Sept. 11, 9:30 a.m. -- A theft report was taken at Burger King, 3550 Center Road.

Sept. 12, 1:12 p.m. -- No citations were issued after Donald A. Martin, 59, 600 Hickory Drive, New Castle, Pa., attempted to back up on Clingan Road and struck a vehicle driven by Roger J. Davis, 79, 118 Brock Drive, Brookfield.

Sept. 13, 6:57 a.m. -- A report was filed after John A. Spirko, 33, 377 Poland Ave., Struthers, struck a deer while traveling on U.S. 224.

11 p.m. -- A criminal damaging report was taken at 3116 Olde Winter Trail.

Sept. 14, 6 p.m. -- A contempt of court report was filed at 6089 Pawnee Place.

Sept. 15, 3 a.m. -- A burglary and theft report was filed from several residences on New Castle Road, Bedford Road and Stewart Road.

Sept. 17, 5:34 p.m. -- Robert A. Houy, 46, 27 Ida Drive, Poland, was cited for assured clear distance after he struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Marilyn J. Mangino, 59, 180 Michael Drive, Edinburg, Pa., who was slowing in traffic on U.S. 224.

8:45 p.m. -- A report was filed after Michael A. Salomon, 25, 910 Harrison St., New Castle, Pa., struck a deer while traveling on U.S. 224.

Sept. 19, 7:26 a.m. -- A theft report was filed from 1705 Bedford Road with an investigation pending.

Sept. 20, 12:24 a.m. -- A theft report was filed at Luva Bella, 6597 Center Road, which was later discovered to be unfounded, with the business owner signing a complaint withdrawal affidavit.

10:52 a.m. -- A criminal damaging report was filed from 7881 Via Attilio.

Sept. 22, 3:08 a.m. -- Following a traffic stop on New Castle Road, Caleb A. Hall, 19, 548 Stanton Ave., Niles, and Matthew A. Young, 20, 331 E. Park Ave., Niles, were each cited for misdemeanor drug abuse.

During the period, police also handled:

2 private property crashes with no citations issued.

2 reports of telecommunications harassment.
