Straub and Hogan unite in marriage

Dr. Melissa Straub and Dr. Kevin Hogan, both of Nashville, Tennessee, were united in marriage during a ceremony that took place on Sept. 8 at Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church in Boardman by Father Mykhaylo Farynets. A reception took place afterward at Mr. Anthony's Banquet Center.

The parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Michele Straub of Canfield, Ohio.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas and Marybeth Hogan of Auburn, New York.

The bride wore a pearl Mikado silk, off-the-shoulder gown by Essence of Australia. The sweetheart neckline had a structured bodice which extended to a flared skirt. It featured fabric covered buttons and crystal belt which was complemented by a double tier silk-trimmed veil.

Megan Szczepinski, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ava Lesko, goddaughter of the bride; Allie Camardo-Webb, Gina Philibin, Abby Singleton, Katie Spaulding, Stephanie Straub, cousin of the bride; Danielle Wagner and Kathryn Westphal.

The attendants wore navy Adrianna Papell dresses.

John (Jack) Hogan and Sean Hogan, brothers of the groom served as the best men. Groomsmen were Chase Baker; Ryan Lewis, cousin of the groom; Riaan Hogan,brother-in-law of the groom; Dave Lomascolo; Rashad Farha and Greg Benedict.

Dr. Melissa Hogan graduated from Ohio Northern University with a bachelor's of science in biology and a medical doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. She is currently serving as assistant chief-resident at Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Pathology Residency Program and will be subspecializing with fellowships in cytopathology and surgical pathology.

Dr. Kevin Hogan graduated from Siena College with a bachelor's degree in biology as well as a masters in science and medical doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Louisiana State University and is currently working as an attending physician at Nashville General Hospital.

The couple plans to honeymoon in Punta Cana before the holidays.
